our vulnerability makes us uncomfortable, afraid even. we shield ourselves, shut out everything and even delude ourselves. go into complete denial. such pains we take to prevent being hurt. but do we ever realize it is just as to inflict pain as it is to feel it? the most intimate of relationships bind us to wielding this power with immense responsibility. for, to hurt someone who trusts implicitly, who bares their soul in utter confidence is downright sinful. the biggest mistake, the most iredeemable act of selfishness with no retribution. and you will feel that pain when your soul starts dying. a slow but sure death, from the desolation of decay. when you are drowning in the sea of shame, your trespasses weighing you down to the depths of the torturous abyss that guilt is.

current song Sinnerman by Nina Simone

To twist Wodehouse's words.. " There are two ways in which your life story can be written. One is to follow the comedy noire route and live like people do in Irving and Heller and Vonnegut books. The other is to live life like Bertie Wooster did. "
I've found the the Wooster way, much better for my constitution. If you think about it, Wooster lived like Wooster did, only cuz he didnt take his life too seriously.

Dew,
We are largely a function of our circumstance.

Z,
Everyone has a truth they own.

Please put those two statements together.

Even that profoundest of truths might be a function of circumstance. I guess it is the reason I cannot live like Bertie Wooster but Zap can and vice-versa. Nothing is completely sacrosanct in the face of circumstance. We control/do what we can. Our thoughts/opinions/images/feelings are constantly being affected. What you can control you should. If nothing accepting this fact makes me a happier person but then again it might not for someone else.
